More classy accommodation in Ṱhohoyanḓou as Royal Hills Lodge is Launched
The gap for accommodation in Ṱhohoyanḓou is slowly getting bridged with the launch of Royal Hills Lodge & SPA in Block D, Ṱhohoyanḓou last night. Limpopo Tourism Agency (LTA) joined hands with the product owners, Dr Azwihangwisi and Mrs Humbulani Bvumbi, to launch the 4-star graded lodge at the hills of Miluwani.
“The opening of this establishment in this part known as the land of myths and legends, not only will it add statistics of a number of tourism products we have in the country and Limpopo, but will also create a number of job opportunities to the people in this area,” said Mr Moss Tseli of the LTA Board.
Further said Tseli: “This launch is something we all cherish as it dispels the notion that the bulk of job opportunities should be created by government while the latter should create conducive environment for the private sector to thrive and create jobs.”
Dr Bvumbi said theirs was a response to the call to create a facility that will cater for travellers looking for a tranquil place whilst injecting much into the local economy. “We are committed to become people who create jobs here. We have ten people employed in the facility, eight are from Vhembe. This is an establishment we are presenting to everyone, we are here to encourage partnership.”
“Opening this establishment during lockdown levels of COVID-19 shows that we believe that we are part of hope even in the midst of this pandemic, we want to pass a message that tourism will still rise.”
The lodge received a 4-star grading from the Grading Council of South Africa. It offers 10 rooms with 8 suites and 2 classic that are fully air-conditioned, with bath and shower in the suites. In addition to the spacious rooms, it also has a SPA facility on the basement of the building which may cater for up to 06 people needing massages at a go. There will be a nail bar and other forms of therepeutic massages on offer. Amongst some of the employees at the SPA there are those with over 5 years experience who worked in major spa facilities in Gauteng before.
The facility which makes a good link to tourism facilities in Ṱhohoyanḓou is already available for online bookings using various online booking agencies. Dr Bvumbi said their next big project is to keep lively social media pages to interact with future users. At the moment they may be reached on +27 10 786 0084 or +27 60 412 2121 or email res@royalhills.co.za.
With this addition there is no doubt that the inventory of accommodation products in Vhembe is growing, beckoning a revived summer and a coming out of various levels of COVID-19 restrictions.
